Mariya Mincheva has been working for BIA since 2006 as part of the Legal Department. She holds the position of the Director of Legal Affairs since 2018, and represents BIA as Vice President since November 2020.
She graduated in "Law" from the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and "International Relations", Master's program "Law of the European Union" at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", in partnership with the University of Nancy 2 (France).
Mariya Mincheva is a member of Group I - Employers and the Commission for International Cooperation and European Integration of the Economic and Social Council of the Republic of Bulgaria.
She represents BIA / as a member of BusinessEurope / in the Social Dialogue Committee in Brussels, which is the main body for social dialogue at an European level.
Mariya Mincheva is a member of the European Economic and Social Committee ( the Employers Group) for the term 2020-2025, where she is a member of the following sections: "Employment, Social Affairs and Citizenship" (SOC), "Single Market, Production and Consumption" (INT ), as well as the “Covid-19 Reconstruction and Development Sub-Committee”.
In her capacity as Vice President, she monitors and coordinates the activities of the Association, related to the protection of employers' interests, the promotion of entrepreneurship and foreign economic cooperation. She participates in the work of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation and coordinates the participation of the representatives of BIA in the national system for tripartite cooperation. Mariya Mincheva is responsible for the organization and coordination of the participation and the activities of BIA in international organizations (BusinessEurope, International Organization of Employers, International Labor Organization, etc.), and is also in charge of the communication with the representatives of the European Parliament and the EC Representation in Bulgaria.
