The 114th Session of the International Labour Conference (ILC) is taking place in Geneva, Switzerland from 1 to 12 June 2026.
Maria Mincheva, Vice President of the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA), is participating in the session as the delegate of the Association of the Organizations of Bulgarian Employers (AOBE). Tsvetan Simeonov, President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), serves as deputy delegate, while Jasmina Saraivanova, Director of Industrial Relations at BIA, participates as adviser.
In addition to the Conference’s regular agenda items – including the reports of the ILO Director-General and the Chairperson of the Governing Body, the programme and budget for 2026–2027, and the report of the ILO Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations – discussions are being held on social dialogue and tripartism, decent work in the platform economy (second discussion on a standard-setting instrument), and advancing the transformative agenda for gender equality in the world of work.
Participants are also considering the report on employment and decent work for peace, crisis prevention and resilience-building, as well as cases related to the implementation of ratified ILO conventions. The proposed abrogation of the Labour Standards (Non-Metropolitan Territories) Convention, 1947 (No. 83) is also on the agenda.
Maria Mincheva’s address to the Conference participants is scheduled for Wednesday, 3 June. The theme of this year’s report is “Harnessing Artificial Intelligence for Decent Work.”
