Kiril Jeliazkov graduated from the Higher Politechnical Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia, and holds a PhD in Pedagogy, habilitated in the problems of secondary vocational education. He specialized in managing automotive industry systems, developing requirements for workforce vocational instruction in various economic sectors.

Since 2003 Kiril Jeliazkov has been in charge of partnership, joint initiatives and activities between the association and its member branch employers’ organizations. Beside this, Mr. Jeliazkov is very active in conducting analyses and expert positions related to problems in the energy industry and transport sector.

Prior to BIA, Mr. Jeliazkov took part in designing and building sites for environmental conservation, developing plans and projects for regional development at municipal and regional level. Kiril Jeliazkov is well experienced in project development both in the pre-accession programmes (PHARE Programme and ISPA) and in the Operational Programmes Competitiveness, Administrative Capacity, Human Resources Development.

Mr. Jeliazkov is one of the people initiated cluster development in Bulgaria. He took part in expert groups who developed methodologies and constituent documents for the set up of such associations in the energy industry, machine building, electrical engineering, forestry etc.

He is fluent in English and Russian.
