Alexander Milanov has been part of the communication department at BIA since 2010. Prior to this he had worked for three years as a Marketing and Fundraising Manager at For Our Children Foundation.
In the period 2001-2007 Alexander Milanov used to be a reporter, editor and radio host at the Bulgarian National Radio, Radion NET and Inforadio respectively. He was awarded a few prizes at Albena Media Festival and the Bulgarian Europe Competition for his social press coverage and author’s broadcast Serial at Inforadio.
Alexander Milanov is well-experienced in the NGO field - he took part in projects of the National Patient Organization, the Bulgarian Red Cross, Association of Oncology Patients etc. He was in charge of planning and supervising communication campaigns, training courses etc. He assisted in the establishment of community based social services for supporting cancer patients and took part in implementing them in three pilot oncology centers.
Alexander Milanov has been a consultant to UNICEF since 2011. One of his personal achievements is the publication of a book entitled Tearless Childhood which tells the stories of children living in orphanages or foster care.
Alexander Milanov has a special interest and knowledge in CSR and is in charge of BIA’s activities in this field.
