STANISLAV POPDONCHEV

Stanislav Popdonchev holds a Master’s Degree in “Accounting and Control” from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia.

He is a certified consultant in optimising organizational systems and processes in line with the REFA Methodology - Germany.

Since 2003, he has managed and coordinated the financial and accounting activities of the BIA, overseeing the budgets and financial statements of the BIA's programmes and projects, initially as Finance Director at BIC Capital Market Ltd. and since 2017 as Chief Financial Officer at the BIA.  He has also held the position of Vice President since 1 July 2019 and has been a member of the Board of BIA since 1 November 2023. He is responsible for project and business activities, including the participation of BIA in the national institutional framework for the management of the European Structural Funds.

Participates in the work of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation (NCTC). Represents BIA in the Advisory Council to the Executive Director of the National Revenue Agency. Member of WG 27 "Financial Control and Accounting" of the Council for European Affairs at the Ministry of Finance. Member of Group I - Employers and Chairman of the Economic Policy Committee of the Economic and Social Council of the Republic of Bulgaria. Representative of the nationally representative employers' organisations in the Board of the State Fund for Guaranteeing the Sustainability of the State Pension System (Silver Fund) for 2022. Represents BIA in the Advisory Board to the Supervisory Board of the Bulgarian Development Bank.

• The Center for Training in Information and Communication Technologies.
