Nikola Rangelov was born on 20 August 1961.
Dr. chemical engineer, graduated from the Higher Institute of Chemical Technology (VHTI). He has specializations in financial management at the Technical University - Sofia and enterprise management - USA, New York, Florida. In 2010 he defended his scientific and educational degree of Doctor of Science in Metallurgical Heat Engineering before the SAC.
Nikola Rangelov has a number of participation and leadership of scientific, research and applied tasks in the field of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, silicate industry and energy. He has participated in the Phate programme for the restructuring of the ferrous metallurgy industry in Bulgaria as the leading refractory industry specialist of the national consultant Sofresse Conseil, France.
In the period from 1981 to 2007, he worked in management positions at Niproruda, Metallurgremont-Engineering Ltd; Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy, Botunets; Metallengineering Ltd, Reflex Ltd and Refran Ltd. In the period 1997 - 2001 he was Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Director of the Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy.
At present he is the Managing Director of "Peshtostroene" Ltd. and "Reflex Trade" Ltd.
Since 2022 he is the Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Association of Metallurgical Industry (BAMI).
He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Academy of Arts.
He is fluent in written and spoken English and Russian.
