Violina Nakova was born on 25 October 1960 in Vidin.
Since 1983 she has a Master's degree in Economics and Industrial Management from the Karl Marx Institute (now the UNWE).
She has extensive experience in finance, foreign investment and business management.
In the period 1994 - 2006 she was a founder, shareholder and member of the Management Board of Unionbank AD.
In the period 2013 - 2018, she was Executive Director and Member of the Board of the Bulgarian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
2018 - 2022 - Deputy Executive Chairman and Chairman of the nationally representative employers' organization - SSI (Union for private economic enterprise).
Member of the Board of Trustees of University of Economics – Varna.
Manages her own consulting company - VN Consult Bulgaria Ltd.
