Member of the Managing Board
Botyo Zaharinov is a graduate of University of Mining and Geology “St. Ivan Rilski”, Master Engineer, major “Drilling and extraction of oil and gas”. He holds a post-graduate qualification in Industrial Management at the UNWE.
Since 2000 he has been Director of Safety, Ecology, Quality at Agria AD and a shareholder in the company.
Since 2001 - PhD in Ecology and Environmental Protection - Ecological Monitoring; since 2004 - Associate Professor at New Bulgarian University “Ecology and Environmental Protection”; since 2015 - Visiting Professor at the Faculty of "Environmental Management" of MIT University, Skopje.
Since 2005 he has been a member of the Board of the Bulgarian Chamber of Chemical Industry, and since 2010 - Vice-Chairman of the Board. From 2014 to 2018 he was a member of the Controlling Council of BIA, and since 2018 - a member of the Managing Board of BIA.
Mr. Botyo Zaharinov was Director General and Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Environment and Water. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Maritsa East Mines EAD for two terms. Expert to the “Standing Committee on Environment and Water” of the 40th National Assembly; Expert “Environmental Impact Assessment - Land and Soil Sector” - MoEW; Expert Evaluator to the “National Fund for Scientific Research”.
He is the author of 3 monographs, 5 textbooks and over 60 papers in local and foreign publications.
