Managing Director
Polina Karastoyanova has a PhD in Public Communications and Information Sciences from UNIBIT, a Master's degree in Economics of Trade from UNWE, a second Master's degree in PR and Mass Communications Management from NBU; financial consultant to Bulgarian and international companies, Managing Director of the Bulgarian Organization for Congress Tourism.
Founder and Executive Director of the National Tourism Board; Member of the 43rd National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria and, within the term of office - Chairman of the Committee on Culture and Media, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy and Tourism and Head of the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC). He is a member of the Board of the Association "Made in Bulgaria". Guest lecturer at UniBIT "Leadership practices in the tourism industry".
Representative of Bulgaria in the expert group "Together for EU Tourism - T4T" DG GROW at the European Commission.
The National Tourism Board is the largest employer organisation in the tourism sector and represents the combined interest of major investors in the tourism industry and related sectors of the economy.
The National Tourism Board is a constructive partner and interacts with all government institutions that are relevant to the formation of national tourism policy, strategy and relevant legal regulation for the development of the tourism industry in Bulgaria.
The National Tourism Board is a member of BIA, BICA, BCCI, KRIB, "Made in Bulgaria - Union of Small and Medium Business".
The NTB is also the only Bulgarian member of the UNWTO, the United Nations World Tourism Organization.
