THE LATEST ISSUE OF NOBLESSE OBLIGE IS OUT
Dear readers,
Think about this - people always wish to own and possess - to have health, to have luck, to have happiness, to have abundance, to own new material things … Having bananas in the shop is probably the brightest example of democracy in Bulgaria. Acquiring toilet paper was the ultimate form of preparation for the pandemic caused by COVID-19. A full cart in the hypermarket is a sign of providing care for your family. Let's put it this way - we are people living in a consumerist society and we love owning things.
This issue is dedicated to the people who help us get the things we want, to those who provide us with some certainty that the store is working and that there's everything we need in it. We dedicated this issue to the modern trade and dissected it on all tangents - from the stock market to the receipt, from a store like Kaufland, employing up to 6,000 people, to Iva, who makes natural soap in her kitchen, because buying and selling is art; and it's worth talking about.
In this 8th issue, we take a business walk to Plovdiv to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the largest producer of non-ferrous metals, lead, and zinc alloys in Eastern and Central Europe - KCM; we talk to the mayor; we sit down with the director of Economic Trakia Zone. We also meet the rector of the University of Food Technology, which has a 65-year history and is among the most important centers in Bulgaria in the field of food science and technology, and the only one of its kind on the Balkan Peninsula. We also enjoy a conversation with the artists in the iconic Kapana district.
We interviewed former ministers about current priorities; experienced entrepreneurs and budding enthusiasts; experts and people of actions. We asked both children, young people who have returned from abroad, and people of experience how things should change for the better.
And we created this issue with soul, enthusiasm, friends, and like-minded people because we believe that it makes sense to share good examples, discuss the problems, speak without censorship, and for the entrepreneurs to have their magazine!
