A regular annual meeting of the regional organizations of the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA) with the management and team of the Association took place on April 25 and 26 in Sofia.
The participants in the forum were introduced by the President of the Board of BIA Dobri Mitrev and by the two vice-presidents Maria Mincheva and Stanislav Popdonchev with the priorities of BIA in 2023, with current issues in the field of economic policy, as well as with the achievements of the organization in 2022.
Both BIA experts and external speakers took part in the meeting, who presented information on specific opportunities that BIA’s regional organizations and their members can benefit from:
- Prof. Tanya Yosifova, Chairwoman of the Court of Arbitration at BIA
- Natalia Sabeva, Chief Legal Advisor at the Legal department of BIA
- Violeta Dobreva, Director of the "Working Conditions Fund"
- Rumyana Draganova, Manager "Public Sector" at "Euroconsultants Bulgaria"
- Svetlana Doncheva, head of the Project Management Center at BIA
- Teodora Borisova, director of the ICT Training Center at BIA
- Antoaneta Katsarova, director of the Vocational Training Center (VET) at BIA
- Christina Kasparyan, Senior Director of International Economic Relations Center at BIA
During the meeting, the representatives of regional business associations and chambers emphasized current problems facing local businesses, among which the high price of electric energy, labor costs, the demographic crisis and the related shortage of human resources emerged as the leading ones, as well as political uncertainty.
