As a result of the renewed cooperation at the end of 2021, the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA) and the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) join forces in conducting the Business Barometer study.
Both parties discussed this opportunity during a meeting between BIA President Dobri Mitrev, Deputy Presidents Mariya Mincheva and Stanislav Popdonchev, Silvia Todorova - Director of the Entrepreneurship Center, Shteryo Nozharov - Economic Adviser at BIA and lecturer at UNWE, and UNWE Rector Dr Dimitar Dimitrov, Dean of the Faculty of Management Administration Prof. Dr Sc. Simeon Zhelev and Assoc. Prof. Dr Elenita Velikova - Secretary General of Science.
The Business Barometer of the Bulgarian Economy survey has a 19-year history, being conducted for the first time in 2003 with the joint efforts of the University of National and World Economy and the "Pari" newspaper. The study aims to track business attitudes and become the basis of economic analysis outlining developmental prospects for the labour market, the education system and economic environment.
BIA is willing to update the questionnaire based on its 17 years of experience in conducting the Annual Survey of Business Attitudes and involve more companies in the study.
For its part, UNWE will get involved by conducting the research, data analysis and creating new programs if the results show a need for such.
The joint Business Barometer study foresees workshops and a well-laid work plan.
Such studies are of national importance as they are independent and provide an objective basis for analysis from which the parties can improve the economic environment.
