BIA STANDPOINT ON THE REGULATION OF TELEWORK IN THE LABOUR CODE

BIA has sent a standpoint within the public consultations on the Draft Law amending and supplementing the Labour Code published on 11.08.2023 to the Minister of Labour and Social Policy.

BIA is seriously engaged in the topic related to the improvement and facilitation of the terms and conditions for the conclusion of telework contracts to become a real and widely applicable form of the employment relationship in conditions of accelerated digitalization of the economy and labor relations.

In the period March - May 2023, BIA representatives were part of the Interdepartmental Working Group, formed by Order RD-02-35/10.03.2023 of the Minister of Labour and Social Policy, for the preparation of proposals for improving the legal framework applicable to telework.

With this opinion, we support the comments and proposals of the BIA on the draft law, set out and sent, both within the working group and during the meeting of the Committee on Labour Legislation on 8 September 2023.
