15 INDUSTRY ASSOCIATIONS EXPRESS NEGATIVE OPINION ON DRAFT LAW ON TRANSPARENCY AND INTEGRITY IN GOVERNANCE
Fifteen industry associations, members of the National Food Council, issued a joint statement regarding the draft Law on Transparency and Integrity in Governance presented for public consultation.
According to the associations, the draft law tends to introduce a model of inequality among different actors, both natural and legal persons and not only fails to ensure clearer and more public audibility, but also creates a significant administrative burden for legal entities. In some cases, this burden poses a real risk of preventing their participation in the process and makes it impossible for them to express and defend their legitimate interests. Moreover, the draft law creates conditions for arbitrary interpretation and challenges in enforcement.
