A working group was created under the Council of Ministers to facilitate the hiring of labor from third countries. The chairman of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Industrial Chamber Dobri Mitrev commented on the topic in "The Day Live". He expressed optimism about the future results of the working group. He believes that proposals for legislative and regulatory amendments to the framework will be made, which will lead to the facilitation of the import of labor from third countries. His position is that until now, slowness, bureaucracy and neglect have prevented the timely hiring of labor. He explained that according to the rules of the Foreign Ministry, a job applicant must personally meet with the consul, who is responsible for several countries in Central Asia, and this leads to months of delay.

Commenting on the pension reform, Mitrev also expressed skepticism about the proposed option to increase the contribution.

"The increase in the contribution will not help anything in the pension system. This is taking away income from the workers. Possibly, the deficit in the Pensions Fund will be reduced quite imperceptibly," said Dobri Mitrev.

Regarding the retirement age, he recalled that there is a decision in principle that in 2037 it will be 65 years for both sexes, but he emphasized that at the moment nothing follows from this plan and in 2035 an analysis and review can be made as to whether this is necessary at all.
