PARAi has published its annual review with interesting projects, an overview of implemented investments and new partnerships that helped the development of the Bulgarian industry in 2024.

A brief overview of some of the interesting developments in 2024, listed in the report:

  • The Bulgarian agro-robot company Smart Farm Robotix became one of the selected 42 European companies that received funding from the European Innovation Council (EIC) accelerator. The investment for the Bulgarian company was EUR 2.36 million.
  • The smart energy management company AIoT Cloud, a member of PARAi, attracted an investment of EUR 1 million from the CleverPine fund and serial entrepreneur Dimitar Dimitrov – an important step for the development of intelligent IoT solutions in our country.
  • Engineers from Ocado Technology’s Sofia office have implemented machine learning and computer vision technologies into the company’s robotic arms used in its global logistics operations.
  • The Bulgarian INSAIT Institute and Toyota have launched a joint project in the field of robotics. It involves the creation of a new type of artificial intelligence for controlling robots, including audio commands, natural language commands and computer vision for object recognition.
  • Schneider Electric Bulgaria has expanded its smart factory in Plovdiv with an investment of BGN 107 million, strengthening the country’s position as a hub for smart manufacturing.
  • Shelly Group, a member of PARAi, ended 2024 with an expanded portfolio and new products, as well as being the first Bulgarian company to be listed on EuroBridge.
