HOW BIG BUSINESS CONTRIBUTES TO THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF REGIONS IN BULGARIA

“Economist” magazine and the Bulgarian Industrial Association are pleased to invite you to the conference “Business and Regions”, which will be held on 21 June 2019, Friday at 9.00, at the Hilton Hotel in Sofia.

The event aims to show how big business contributes to the sustainable development of the regions in Bulgaria - its impact on the development of small businesses in a specific region, its importance for the existence of many settlements. It includes both economic aspects, social initiatives and community-related issues. Good practices and solutions will be presented in different regions.

The conference will be opened by Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev and the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Petya Avramova.

An analysis of the regional profiles will be presented by the Executive Director of the Institute for Market Economics, Svetla Kostadinova, and Boyan Rashev, managing partner of Denkstat Bulgaria, will speak about the sustainable development.

Participation in the panels will take senior managers of large companies like Aurubis Bulgaria, Assarel Medet, Lidl Bulgaria, Zlatna Panega Cement, Lukoil Neftochim Burgas, Dundee Precious Metals, KCM 2000 Group, Albena AD, Ideal Standard - Vidima and others.

The opportunities for financing the regions and their strategic investors will be discussed by the Bulgarian Development Bank, the EBRD, the International Bank for Economic Cooperation.

Representatives of mayors of municipalities will also participate in the conference.
