THE XXVIII ANNUAL MEETING OF REGIONAL CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE AND ASSOCIATIONS WAS HELD

On 22 and 23 March 2018, XXVIII Regular Annual Meeting "Regional Organizations and Local Authorities" 2018 was held in BIA.

During the two-day meeting more than 30 representatives of the regional structures of BIA were acquainted with topical issues and issues that are the focus of the attention of employers' organizations in Bulgaria and, in particular, of BIA. Among the main discussion topics were the recruitment of third-country workers, grade opportunities, funding opportunities for projects and programs from the Working Conditions Fund and the Operational Programs, as well as the opportunities for integrated business co-operation and innovation services through the Enterprise Europe Network.

Particular attention was paid to the forthcoming entry into force of the new European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Current information on the topic was presented by Tsanko Tsolov, a member of the Commission for Personal Data Protection, whose lecture was in the exclusive interest.

Representatives of BIA Bozhidar Danev, Deputy Chairs Dimitar Brankov, Kamen Kolev, Margarita Popova and Petar Denev, as well as experts engaged in the respective discussion topics, took part in the presentations and participated in the discussions during the meeting.

The second day of the meeting was attended by the members of the Management Board of BIA, who also participated actively in the discussions.
