NEW ELECTRICITY, HEATING AND GAS PRICES FROM JULY 1
According to the State Commission for Energy and Water Regulation final decision announced Thursday, the electric power price is going up by 14.098% beginning July 1, the heating price - by 12.92% and gas price - by 5.16%.
The Commission also decided to continue until October, 2008 the three-month electric supply billing cycle of the CEZ Company. The continuation will give the company and the Commission time to further test the cycle and to find out if it is feasible.
The Commission proposes for rural areas with low population the introduction of electric meters where payments could be made in advance by vouchers similar to the cell phone ones. The vouchers will be with predetermined amount and a code, which will allow consumers to use them to receive electric power supply.
