"The results from the country’s development survey for the period 2002-2007 show that the tendency of payment increase to outstrip the GDP increase in 2006, and especially in 2007, has intensified.



The average gross salary rose with 2083 BGN or 67 percent in comparison to 2002. The increase in the value added per employee for the period was 5008 BGN or 34 percent. The excess of the average gross salary is by 33 points or 2 times more than the labour productivity growth.



There is an increase of 26.2 percent in the actual average salary in comparison to 2002 and an increase of 8.8 percent in productivity (with no impact on the prices). The remuneration growth is three time higher than the labour productivity growth..............."
