Just a third of the government institutions in Bulgaria reveal information about their payments under public procurement agreements, quoting a survey of the NGO Program Access to Information.

According to the report, 57% of the government agencies would publish their decisions every time they pick a contractor, 54% would publish their contracts with suppliers. Just 6% of the agencies lack Buyer Profile sections on their websites. The survey took place February 23 – March 23 among 544 websites of government institutions on both central and local level.

Capital Daily reminds that, under the latest amendments to the Public Procurements Law, in effect since early October 2014, it is mandatory for government agencies to publish ample information about their public tenders.
