The unemployment rate in the country is down for the sixth month in a row. This July it is 10.6%, down by 0.1% compared to June and by 0.2% y/y.

There are 54 000 less unemployed persons now than there were at the beginning of the year. 347 249 are registered at labor offices nationwide, which is 4 003 less than in June. This is the biggest decline since 2007.

The number of unemployed persons under 24 is 25 924 or 7.5% оf the total. 16.8% of all unemployed persons are under 29. 16 571 people started work in July this year.

Labor offices announced 12 740 job openings, up by 1 370 y/y. The most jobs are in the processing industry (3 878), trade (2510), administrative activities (790), hotels and restaurants (755), construction (688), education (602), agriculture, forestry and fishery (597) and transport (570).
