“Bulgaria is ranked fourth in the European Union (EU) in terms of highest number of judges per 100,000 people. Those ranked atop of us are Slovakia, Croatia and Latvia,” said Mihail Kozharev, chairperson of the budget and finance commission with Bulgaria’s Supreme Judicial Council, speaking at a briefing, FOCUS News Agency reporter said.

“The rest of the European countries, which have fewer judges per 100,000 people, work with very high financing of the judicial system,” the expert said further.

In his words, Bulgaria compensates the lack of money and the lack of material security with manpower.
