8 PEOPLE PER HOUR LEAVE BULGARIA
The population of Bulgaria decreases by 64,000 people per year , which makes 172 Bulgarians a day. This in turn makes 8 people per hour, the estimate of Petar Ivanov from the Center for Demographic Policy as presented on Nova TV shows.
The expert said that Bulgaria ranks first in the world with an extinction rate of 8.8/1,000. Second in the line are Latvians, where the indicator is 1.5/ 1,000.
"In the death rates we are in the eighth place in the world and we were 18th just four years ago" Professor Ivanov was adamant.
Based on these calculations, experts predict that in 2134 even the last Bulgarian will leave the state.
"We are trapped in the demographic catastrophe and there is no exit" he was explicit .
Moreover, according to Ivanov, Bulgaria also ranks last in intelligence . "We are getting poorer, sicker, less happy and simpler" said the expert.
