The number of the Bulgarians who lost their jobs during the crisis hit 411,000. The total number of the employed Bulgarians is 2.95 million people and their number decreased by 22,000 compared to the last trimester of 2011, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) reported.

The number of the unemployed Bulgarians in the last trimester of 2012 was 417,300 people and their number increased by 8.6% for a year or by (33,000 people), the NSI released. Thus, the official unemployment in Bulgaria is 12,4%, or by 1% higher compared to the same period of 2011.

Over 55% of the unemployed Bulgarians have been without a job for more than a year and their number increases by 7.5%. Another 212,000 unemployed Bulgarians are so discouraged that they do not look for a job at all.
