EVERY FOURTH EMPLOYER IN BULGARIA TO HIRE EMPLOYEES OVER THE NEXT QUARTER
Every fourth employer in Bulgaria plans to increase the number of his/her personnel and only one in ten projects lay-offs, showed a survey of Manpower on employment. According to data, companies’ plans for hiring employees in Q3 2011 remain stable as a whole, compared to Q2 2011. The fact that in Q1 2011 only 19% of the employers projected new working positions and their share rose to 25% in Q2 2011 is encouraging.
The public and the social sector, as well as restaurant and hospitality services will offer most employment opportunities in the next quarter. Every third (36%) director in the public and social sectors, which include education and training companies, companies listed on the stock exchange, healthcare organisations and others, plan to hire personnel over the next three months, while only 7% plan lay-offs. Job-seekers in the Plovdiv region can benefit the most from the plans of employers for recruitment. Almost three in every 10 employers there plan to increase their workforce during the period from July to September 2011.
According to estimates, the number of employees will increase at a stable pace in the regions of Sofia and Varna where net expectation (the percentage of employers expecting the overall employment rate to decrease is subtracted from the number of those expecting the reverse) for the employment rate is +15%, as well as in the region of Ruse, where the rate of recruitment is expected at +14%.
