More than 120 French companies will be on a fact-finding mission in Bulgaria from 11 to 13 October
More than 120 French companies with interests in the sectors of textiles and fashion, food, robotics, metallurgy, air transport, logistics and others, will be on a fact-finding mission in our country from 11 to 13 October 2023.
The delegation is led by the regional structure of the French employers' organization MEDEF from the Ile-et-Vilaine department, part of the Brittany region, and will be welcomed through the joint efforts of the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA), the Embassy of the Republic of France in Bulgaria and the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The initiative for the visit is the regional structure of MEDEF. The Bulgarian Industrial Association and MEDEF are members of BusinessEurope, Europe's largest business representative organisation, and this visit is another step towards bringing the two employers' organisations closer together.
On 12 October, from 10:30 to 12:30, a Bulgarian-French Business Forum will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Sofia, during which the BIA will introduce the delegation to the prospects of the Bulgarian economy, the structure of the employer systems and the relations with the trade unions in the country. A discussion will also be held with French companies operating in Bulgaria.
At the end of the forum, BIA and MEDEF will sign an agreement for deeper cooperation, exchange of information and opinions, relevant for improving the business environment in Europe, as well as a commitment to serve French and Bulgarian companies, members of both organizations, wishing to establish contacts and business cooperation with each other.
After the Forum, the French guests will visit successful Bulgarian companies from the textile and fashion, food and beverage, and robotics sectors, the visits being organized by BIA in partnership with the Association’s member industry organizations and companies.
