Kaufland Bulgaria and the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) - members of BIA, launched the first retail business academy in our country - Kaufland Business Academy. Within nearly three months, it will train 34 students who will acquire practically oriented knowledge and skills. A key role in it is the possibility of direct interaction with key proven professionals in various areas of the retail sector in our country.

The start of the first practically oriented business academy for students was given by Ivan Chernev, executive director of Kaufland Bulgaria and Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, rector of UNWE.

"I am delighted that today we are launching the Kaufland Business Academy. As a socially responsible company and one of the largest employers in the country, we realize the importance of investing in young people and supporting their career guidance and development right from the university bench. I believe that Kaufland Business Academy is another example of our successful cooperation with UNWE, which will enhance the academic education of students with examples from practice. The Kaufland team has tried to organize the program so that it is both useful and interesting for the students. I am sure that they will reveal to them things from the kitchen of the business, which will give them a great advantage in their career development in the future", emphasized Ivan Chernev, executive director of Kaufland Bulgaria.

"This unique business academy is the result of cooperation between the largest business university and the largest retail chain in Bulgaria. It will provide great opportunities for our students, who will get hands-on experience and learn a lot from Kaufland specialists. Our efforts to support students in their professional development is a primary task, therefore we have built traditions of cooperation with business in order to create an opportunity for the development of our students, for a successful professional career", said Dimitar Dimitrov, Rector of UNWE.
