On 20.06.2019 the Bulgarian Electric Vehicles Industrial Cluster - EVIC, held its regular General Assembly.
The host of the event was the Bulgarian Industrial Association - BIA, which the branch organization has been a member of for 10 years.
Business companies, members of EVIC, representatives of vocational schools, universities, vocational training centers, members of the Sectoral Council for Electrical Mobility at the Ministry of Education and Science, the Military Academy, the National Cyber Security Platform, etc. participated.
The President of BIA Radosvet Radev welcomed the participants of the meeting.
As members of the Management Board were elected: Major General Dr. Grudi Angelov, Commandant of “G. S. Rakovski” Military Academy, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev - Deputy Dean of the Economic Faculty of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, publisher and chief editor of “Utilities” magazine and Eng. Dimitar Stoyanov - Coordinator of the National Platform for Education and Innovation in Energy Cyber Security.
With the new members of the Board, EVIC has focused on three main activities in the next programming period:
- Developing the unique sectoral model for linking business and education to the electrical mobility sector
- Electric mobility and energy security and cyber security
- National integrative charging infrastructure platform “Bulcharge” - smart grid network covering energy distribution companies, manufacturers and retailers of products and services for charging electric vehicles, etc.
The participants in the meeting welcomed their newest member, the Bulgarian company – “Auto Engineering Holding Group”.
Members and partners of EVIC are more than 130 business companies, non-governmental organizations, higher and secondary schools and others. Thirteen are the Bulgarian municipalities, which are official partners of EVIC.
