Where are the biggest opportunities to make the EU more energy-efficient? How can policy-makers best incentivise energy efficiency improvements? These are some of the questions which were debated by participants of a workshop on energy efficiency organised by BUSINESSEUROPE on 26 January. The workshop brought together more than 50 participants from BUSINESSEUROPE’s national federations and European industry sector associations alongside the supply chain in order to take stock of energy efficiency achievements and outlooks, and to trigger discussion on EU policy needs. The event is part of the current reflection process aimed at achieving a smart EU Energy Efficiency Action Plan and subsequent regulatory proposals.
