SUBJECT: LATEST UPDATE OF THE ANTI-EPIDEMIC MEASURES ORDER

SUBJECT: Update of the latest Anti-Epidemic Measures Order 

DEAR MR. ANGELOV,

In connection with the expiration of the order RD-01-173 / 18.03.2021 issued by you and its current update, we turn to you with a proposal that all restrictions introduced in the future be based on objective criteria - on the number of people (incl. customers and staff) per unit area, without categorizing the sites by other indicators (size, type, sector, etc.)

By adopting such an approach:

• The overcrowding in the shopping areas will be limited, and the traders will not have to stop working. Their turnover will not be as drastically affected, the State Treasury will collect more VAT revenues, and there will be less need for government support.
• Equality between operators in the separate economic sectors will be ensured as well as within the sectors themselves.
• Some predictability and clarity will be provided when taking anti-epidemic measures in the future.

We rely on a sensible approach in determining the anti-epidemic measures, which does not lead to conflicts between the populations' health and the well-being of the economy, and ensures the relative stability of all social systems.
