Today, on 10.11.2011, Mrs. Sheila Camerer - Ambassador of South Africa, visited the BIA. She was greeted by Sasho Dontchev - Chairman and George Shivarov -Vice-President.

Mr. Donchev said that BIA has always maintained relations with the diplomatic representatives of South Africa in Sofia, but can be done much more for the intensification of economic relations between both countries. There are already achieved some results, as companies from South Africa have begun to invest in our country.

Ms Camerer congratulated Mr. Donchev the election of Chairman of the BIA. It supports the view that relations between Bulgaria and South Africa recently developed positively. As an example, mentioned the visit of representatives of the management of large South African corporation "Le Monde", which is planning major investments in the Paper Factory - Stamboliiski AD. Mentioned was South African investment company in the town of Elin Pelin. Ambassador Camerer said that more companies of her country, especially from the automotive and engineering industries interested to participate at the Plovdiv International Fair and establishing cooperation with Bulgarian companies.

Mr. Donchev underlined that Bulgaria offers significant advantages for investment, not only as an EU member, but with tax laws and others. In the period in which we find to us, we need not just investments, as were those in the construction of shopping malls, and those in manufacturing, such as those from South Africa. Therefore, BIA is ready to assist anyone who wants to find a partner in Bulgaria for the development of production. He suggested that the BIA to take the initiative to organize a conference in Sofia and Plovdiv, to promote opportunities for cooperation between Bulgarian and South African companies. Specific assistance for this could have a BIA representative in South Africa Rosen Yordanov.

Ms Camerer welcomed the idea and said that the conference could be associated with the celebration of 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Africaand RB. She expressed hope that after the return of R. Yordanov of Bulgaria, BIAwill authorize another representative in South Africa to continue active cooperation.
