MINISTER STANKOV MET WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE BULGARIAN OIL AND GAS ASSOCIATION
The Minister of Energy, Zhecho Stankov, spoke at the Ministry with representatives of the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association. The main focus of the conversation was on possible solutions to the challenges facing the industry and the readiness for effective cooperation.
"Our effective joint work is a tool that brings positive results for society," emphasized Minister Stankov. He highlighted the priority tasks facing the Ministry of Energy and introduced the members of the industry organization to the active actions in key areas such as energy efficiency, security of supply and sustainable development of the sector.
The progress in oil and natural gas exploration in Bulgaria's exclusive economic zone in the Black Sea was also discussed. Minister Stankov informed that the state will participate in these activities and emphasized the chance for our country to provide natural gas at competitive prices for Bulgarian households and businesses through its own production.
The parties confirmed their commitment to a constructive dialogue based on mutual trust, as well as to expanding joint activities on all current topics. Deputy Ministers Iva Petrova, Krasimir Nenov and Georgi Samandov, as well as directors of directorates in the Ministry of Energy, participated in the talks.
