The opportunities for cooperation between the two countries were presented, incl. current issues for the import of workers from Bangladesh were discussed. The meeting was also attended by Georgi Ivanov - Honorary Consul General of Bangladesh in Burgas, the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality Stanimir Apostolov, Yavor Zhekov - Member of the Board of the Bulgarian Industrial Chamber, etc.

According to Mr. Mia, in Bangladesh, where the population is over 170 million people, a large part are young people - qualified labor. Over 7 million are already working abroad. "We would be happy if some of them started working in your country," he said. There are already workers from Bangladesh in Pleven, Ruse, Plovdiv and Kyustendil. They are there with three-year contracts. Burgas has the opportunity to be the next city in which they can find their job.
It was recalled at the meeting that during the socialist era, many young people completed their higher education in Burgas. Nowadays, similar opportunities are also opening up.
Lawyer Georgi Petkov presented in detail the legal possibilities for hiring labor from Bangladesh, emphasizing that thanks to his direct contacts with the embassy in Romania and the assistance of Mr. Mia, one can avoid the risk of fake companies and workers who use our country as an intermediate destination for settling in other countries.
The questions posed by the companies present were more focused on the field of seasonal employment - for work in tourism and related activities.
