ABTTA – 25 YEARS IN FAVOR OF BUSINESS AND SOCIETY

Founded in 1996 by several dedicated and goal-oriented professionals, today the Association of Bulgarian Tour Operators and Travel Agents celebrates its fourth centenary.

Established as a narrowly specialized product association as a representative of the Bulgarian IATA agents, today ABTTA is registered under № 0001 in the National Register of Tourist Associations. ABTTA is an authoritative and independent corrective of the state policy, respected partner in the sector, an organization with many successful initiatives to protect the interests of business and a number of important public causes.

Many things have changed in the last 25 years and the sector is undergoing fundamental transformations, but even today ABTTA's mission to serve society, create security for business and support the building of a competitive national tourism industry remains unchanged.

Covid-19 has had a huge impact on the global travel industry, but travel agents and tour operators remain a key part of the value chain in tourism, making it easier for millions of travelers to organize their travels around the world and navigate the complex landscape of constraints.

On December 9, on the eve of Christmas, the organization will celebrate its quarter-century anniversary by holding a well-known working forum from the professional community - the Twentieth Annual Meeting of ABTTA members.

The jubilee edition of the beloved and long-awaited event will be held with the special participation of the Secretary General of the European Organization of European Tour Operators Eric Drezin, with the partnership of Lev Ins and Saber Bulgaria, and the kind support of Grand Hotel Millennium, Sofia Opera and Ballet and Golden Rozhen Wine Cellar.

The Minister of Tourism Stella Baltova was invited to open the prestigious forum. Among the invited speakers we will hear experts from the Ministry of Tourism, NRA, CPC, IATA.
