ROAD TRAFFIC INFORMATION SERVICES – REVISED SPECIFICATIONS
The Commission would like to hear your views.
The EU is promoting the use of digital technology (‘intelligent transport systems’) in road travel and transport.
A key part of this is providing accurate, real-time road traffic information services.
This initiative would:
- expand the geographical coverage of such services to include local road networks
- support the use of new data types, to provide (new) services such as (i) restricting vehicle access in urban areas and (ii) government use of data from business in e.g. traffic and road management.
