INDUSTRY, ENERGY, CLIMATE CONFERENCE 2019 TOOK PLACE IN SOFIA

On 6th of June in Sofia took place the 2019 conference “Industry, Energy, Climate 2019”. The event was organized by Srednogorie Industrial Cluster and its silver partners at Geotechmin OOD, CEZ Trade Bulgaria EAD, bronze partner: Elacite Med AD, corporate presence: Assarel Medet AD, Titan Zlatna Panega Cement, Gotmar, Nova Trade and Pobeda, and institutional partners Bulgarian Industrial Association, Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association, Bulgarian Association of Metallurgical Industry and Bulgarian Chamber of Mining and Geology.

The official opening of the forum was attended by Mr. Lachezar Borisov, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Economy, Assoc. Prof. Ivan Ivanov, Chairman, EWRC, Mr. Ivaylo Alexiev, Executive Director, SEDA, Mr. Konstantin Stamenov, Chairman of the Management Board, BFIEC, Mr. Alex Nestor, Vice President, Canadian-Bulgarian Business Network, Prof. Lyuben Totev, President, Council of the Rectors of the Higher Schools in Bulgaria and Rector, St. Ivan Rilski University, Mrs. Tsvetanka Yotina, Mayor, Municipality of Mirkovo and Member of the Managing Board, Srednogorie Industrial Cluster and Mr. Nikolay Minkov, Chairman, Srednogorie Industrial Cluster.

The participants in the conference discussed the current topics concerning the state of the electricity market and the positions of the individual participants in it.

The Industry, Energy, Climate 2019 Conference presented solutions for successful interaction between industry and business stakeholders to stimulate investment in energy-efficient technologies and opportunities for joint action to successfully meet the climate challenge of transition to a low-carbon economy.

The event was attended by representatives of the government, experts from branch organizations, electricity traders, producers and industrial consumers, energy trading specialists within the regional and European electricity market, managers and experts from network companies.
