DISCUSSION ON "POSSIBILITIES OF OPERATIONAL PROGRAMS IN TERMS OF GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISIS"

Discussion on "Possibilities of operational programs in terms of global economic crisis " hold on April 22 from 16.00 pm, at the National Press Club of BTA.

Organizers were the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency and the Office of the Deputy Prime Meglena Plugchieva.

The forum  was attended by Deputy Prime management of EU funds Meglena Plugchieva and the Minister of Economy and Energy Petar Dimitrov. In the discussion participated leaders of the national representative employers' organizations, the Association of Banks in Bulgaria, Center for Economic Development Association "Transparency International", mayors, experts from the Ministry of Finance and others.

BIA was represented by its Vice president  - Mr. Kamen Kolev.

The aim of the forum was to seek answers to the questions for the competitiveness of SME's in times of crisis, the steps the government and the possibilities afforded by operational programs. It was discussed also issues of business, local authorities and NGO's in the absorption of funds from EU programs, changes in the law on public procurement, implementation and monitoring of projects.
