CENTER FOR DIGITAL INNOVATIONS IN INDUSTRY STARTED ITS ACTIVITIES
On a Press Conference today, 16 June 2008, the President of BIA – Bojidar Danev, and the Executive Director of “David Holding” – Balio Dinev, presented the newly found Center for Digital Innovations in Industry.

In his speech the President of BIA highlighted that one of the main issues for the Bulgarian economy is the lack of enough products with high added value. “That problem can be overcome only through investments in innovations – an index that puts our country on the unenviable 25th place among the rest of the European countries. Behind us are only Cyprus and Romania”, said Mr. Danev. He specified that only 16 % of the Bulgarian enterprises are into innovations – activities, processes, cooperation, etc. – compared to an average of 40 % for EU-27.
To answer the needs of the Bulgarian economy for raising the innovative activity David Holding, in cooperation with Siemens PLM Software and BIA, created the Center for Digital Innovations in Industry. Associated partner of the project is Tame Chaos Consulting Ltd – one of the leading consulting companies in the ERP sphere.
CDI’s team includes more than 60 consultants specialized in Digital Projecting, Process Simulation, Optimization of the Instrumental Equipment, Planning and Operative Management of the Production, Planning and Managing the resources of the firm, etc.
CDI uses the most contemporary technology for digital managing of the processes – Digital Mock-UP, that allows the construction and simulation of the production processes through virtual digital models. This technology is used by world leading production companies that represent the international innovative standards – Apple Computer, General Motors, Boeing, Nissan, Rolls-Royce, Nokia, Bosh, NEC, Volvo, Motorola and 42,000 other companies from around the world.
