Second seminar in the frames of the BOSMIP Project conducted by BIA and BUSINESSEUROPE was held on 4 and 5 June, in Albena.

The seminar’s topic was “Environment”; lecturers were from Holland, Lithuania and Bulgaria.

The forum was held in few panel discussions dedicated to the link between the industry and the preservation of the environment. Main discussion topics were: The possibilities for environment policy development; Where should companies invest to face the strict environment regulations?; Further development of the Directive for complex prevention and control over the pollutions; Possibilities for lobbying for firms on the issues of the environment, etc.

Dimitar Brankov – Director General in BIA – presented the main issues before the Bulgarian industry in the sphere of environment policy.

The participants visited several enterprises in the region where they were introduced to the activities of the respective industrialists in the sphere of environment.

In the frames of the mutual project between BIA and BUSINESSEUROPE to the end of the year will be conducted two more seminars in Bulgaria on the following topics “Transport and Energy” and “Health and safety work”. The project is financed by EC.
