31 DECEMBER 2010 IS THE DEADLINE FOR COMPANIES RE-REGISTRATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE COMMERCIAL REGISTER ACT
We would like to inform you again that after the Commercial Register Act has entered into force, all companies registered before 31 December 2007 should register anew at the Bulgarian Registry Agency - the Commercial Register.
Re-registration should be done by 31 December 2010.
All companies, registered under the Commercial Act (Sole Traders, Limited Liability Companies (Ltd.), Limited Companies with One Owner (Ltd.), Joint-stock Companies/PLC, Incorporated Partnerships, Incorporated Companies (Inc.)) are subject to new registration.
In case a company has not been re-registered within the period stipulated by the law, this very company shall be subject to official liquidation by means of an official receiver! Consequently, a liquidation fee should be paid to the official receiver.
Re-registration procedure is relatively easy.
Unofficial records show that about 70% of all companies subject to re-registration have not been registered by June 2010.
