AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ENTITLED “EU FUNDS UTILIZATION: NATIONAL PRIORITIES, THE EXPERIENCE OF SPAIN”

"Funds, Programmes and Projects" magazine, specialized in working with aid- funded projects, is constantly looking for ways to improve the process of EU funds utilization.  This is why the Bulgarian Industrial Association and the magazine have organized numerous discussions, round tables and other events so far, which bring together representatives of civil society, business and the state administration.

In order to be helpful to the business in the process of EU funds utilization, an international conference is being held on 18 November 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the National Palace of Culture, Hall 8. The conference is entitled "EU Funds Utilization: National Priorities, the Experience of Spain" and is organized with the cooperation of the Spanish Embassy in Sofia.

Some of the renowned participants of the event shall be:

• Mr. Tomislav Donchev, Minister of the Management and Utilization of EU Funds with the Council of Ministers

• His Excellency Jorge Fuentes, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in Bulgaria

• Ms. Meglena Plugtschieva, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on European Affairs and Oversight of the European Funds with the National Assembly

• Ms Begonia Montoro, Deputy Director General at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Spain

• Ms Mersedes Fernandes, Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain

• Mr. Kamen Kolev, Vice President of BIA

• Mr. Sergio Castro, Managing Director of Roca Bulgaria

About 200 guests of the event are expected to come - potential beneficiaries, business representatives from Bulgaria and Spain, municipal and district administrations, operational programmes heads, NGOs, consultants and experts, media etc.
