EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT BREAKFAST ON EU ENERGY EFFICIENCY POLICY
The EU Energy Efficiency Plan 2011 will be a decisive milestone to lay the foundations of Europe’s climate and energy policy for the next decades, making Europe more climate friendly, energy secure and competitive.
The Plan and subsequent legislative proposals to be put forward by the European Commission in 2011 will arose a lot of attention amongst policy-makers and stakeholders on the best way to strike the right balance between creating an effective policy framework and allowing the market to deliver.
In order to trigger discussions, MEP Bendt Bendtsen and BUSINESSEUROPE organise in conjunction with the EU Sustainable Energy Week a high-level policy breakfast with the participation of Mr Günther Oettinger, EU Commissioner for Energy.
It will take place in the European Parliament on 13 April 2011 (from 8h00 to 9h30) and will bring together Members of the European Parliament and senior policy-makers and representatives of European industry.
