Sofia University "St. Kl. Ohridski" and Sofia Municipality are organising the ninth issue of the European Day of the Entrepreneur (EDE).

This year it will be held on 26-27 September 2011 at the InterExpo Centre, Sofia.

The European Day of the Entrepreneur became the biggest annual forum with an international participation. This year EDE is announced as the basic Bulgarian event in the frame of the European Week of SMEs. The forum will be held under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism and the Minister Traycho Traykov. The slogan of the EDE '2011 is: THE EU "Innovation union" Initiative. Partnership Models: Academy-Business-Society".

Co-organisers of the forum are all the relevant Ministries as well as more than 20 representative public, non-governmental and private structures. Many international organizations show an interest to the different events, held under the frame of EDE.

Participants are representatives of the small and medium sized business, the academic society - scientists, students, doctoral students, branch organizations, NGOs, state administration in Bulgaria. 

Main lecturers will be representatives from the European Commission, State Administration, NGO sector, business associations and chambers, local authorities, universities and research otganisations - all they having relationships/responsibilities to the SMEs and entrepreneurship.

The Programme is brimming over with different thematic sessions, workshops for people with entrepreneurial spirit and innovative ideas, Business game "From the Business Idea - To the Business Model", etc. Detailed information you can find here.
