DISCUSSION FORUM "ENERGY LAW – GUARANTEED FREE MARKET"
Discussion Forum "Energy Law - guarantee for free market" will be held on December 8, 2011 (Thursday) at 9.30 in the hall of the Information Office of the European Parliament in Bulgaria on Str. "Moscow" № 9.
The forum is organized by information portal 3E-news, Bulgarian Industrial Association and the Institute for Energy Management under the patronage of the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism in collaboration with the Information Office of the European Parliamentin Bulgaria.
Highlights of the discussion will be focused around the model of independent operators, powers and role of the energy regulator, the effects on markets for gas and electricity, the positions of producers and consumers of electricity, the role of suppliers.
Forum Energy Act is the third of the one-year project "Clear Energy". In the period of one month, journalists, economists, energy experts, government officials, energy companies and NGOs discuss the opportunities and challenges in the Bulgarian energy sector context of European standards and priorities set out in Community legislation concerning the sector.
The first panel discussion of the "Clear Energy" was held on September 30, 2011 on " Bulgarian energy market - Is it Free." The second panel discussion was held on November 11, 2011 on "shale gas - energy alternative or environmental threat."
