”Cooperation between the Ministry of Economy and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) will be expressed in many fields,” said BAS President Acad. Stefan Vodenicharov, speaking at a ceremony at which an agreement on cooperation was inked by the two institutions, FOCUS News Agency reported.

”We would like to provide aid in several spheres with the expertise of our Economic Research Institute. [We would like to] help with several laws the ministry is working on,” Mr Vodenicharov said further.

”We would like along with the ministry to do the things spoken about that are not done – there should be intelligent growth and innovations becoming a reality,” the scientist stated.

In his words, these things are connected with some legislative measures, which would make scientists in Bulgaria more efficient and would improve connections between researchers and business.

"This connection is now broken and results are not positive in case there is no motivation on the part of both sides. We have outlined sites, which will be announced after the meetings we will hold with the ministry," Stefan Vodenicharov commented further.
