The European Investment Bank has announced that it releases a loan of 500 million euro to Bulgaria for investments in priority infrastructures. The money will be used to co-finance projects for which Bulgaria is supported by EU funds in the period till 2020. The loan from the bank will cover national co-financing for projects under Transport and Environment operational programmes. EIB Vice President Laszlo Baranyai said financing would speed up absorption of funds, improve competitiveness and boost growth and employment.
