Bulgaria’s exports to the European Union in first half of 2014 has increased by 2.6% compared to the same period of the previous year, amounting at BGN 17,7 billion, according to the National Statistics Institute.

Major trading partners of Bulgaria were Germany, Italy, Romania, Greece, France and Belgium, which formed 71.7% of the exports to the EU member states.

In August 2014, exports to the EU decreased by 3.5% compared to the same month of the previous year and amounted to BGN 2.3 billion.

Imports of Bulgaria from the EU in the first half of 2014 increased by 3.5% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to BGN 20.1 billion in CIF prices.
