A consortium of the Oman Fund has officially sent an offer for the problematic Corporate Commercial Bank. The crisis in the bank started in the end of June. Then the Corporate Commercial Bank turned to the Bulgarian National Bank calling for help and was placed under special supervision. Last week the auditors presented a report to the BNB, showing the hole in CCB reaches 2.16 billion euro. Tsvetan Vasilev, majority shareholder in the Corporate Commercial Bank, is currently residing in Serbia. The Oman Fund and Russian Vneshtorgbank are among the minor shareholders in CCB.
