Bulgarian exports to China showed a growth of 20% in the past few months, Bulgarian Economy Minister Dragomir Stoynev stated while visiting the BG stand at the13th exhibition of goods from Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) in the city of Ningbo, China.

Over 20 Bulgarian companies operating in the production of wines, cosmetics, electronics and food present their products at the exhibition, thanks to the free exhibition area provided by the hosts.

Minister Stoynev was selected to represent the 16 CEE countries at the event and also had a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of China Mr. Yang Jiechi.

"We will focus our efforts to increase foreign trade and investment between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe," said Minister Stoynev in a statement.

In his words, the access of European products to the strategic Chinese market should be facilitated. On behalf of the 16 CEE countries Dragomir Stoynev announced as a priority increasing tourist numbers from China.

CEE countries will also exchange experiences with their Chinese counterparts in the sphere of education, science and culture, added Stoynev.

For his part, the Chinese Deputy Yang stressed that the opportunities for increased investment and tourist flows between Bulgaria and China are excellent.
